This amazing vintage/ antique? cast iron "Viking" silver plated & gold plated chess set is in its original box. The chess men are cast metal with silver gilt on the one side and cast metal with gold gilt on the opposing side. The set is very unusual and we have not come across a set like it before. The king is 10cm tall. This would make a stunning set on a larger chess table or chess board. The chess pieces have green felt bases, but all in all this is a beautiful and very well made set. There is some age and usage related wear and tear, but it is still an amazing and very unusual collectable chess set. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this awesome cast metal chess set and to confirm the condition.
