Oswald Bilse's King's Commendation is confirmed in the Union of South Africa Government Gazette of 17 June 1947.
Bilse's WWI service was with the South African Medical Corps in German South West Africa (1st Field Ambulance), and
in East Africa, attached to the 4th South african Horse ('A' Section, Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance)
Copies of his WWI service cards as well as a copy of the page from the Government Gazette will accompany the group.
