STRIKING MARCASITE AND NATURAL FRESHWATER PEARL STERLING SILVER 'SHOOTING STAR' DROP EARRINGS
This striking pair of earrings feature an unusual design in that the 'stud' part is in fact a solid bar that runs from a star in the stud position straight down with the 'dangle' part being a natural teardrop shaped freshwater pearl that moves freely on the end of the bar. The effect is of a shooting star coming from the pearl upwards. Pretty! There is a flip up catch at the back of the star folding the stud in place instead of the usual 'butterfly', ensuring a nice secure and safe fit! The earrings have been jeweller tested and authenticated as sterling silver with 13 marcasites and a freshwater pearl on each piece. Pearl's have made a big fashion come-back in the stores. The combination of real pearl and marcasites makes for a rather nice fashionable, and yet definitely collectable, piece of jeweller. The length is 35mm and the width of the star is 10mm, and the weight together is 6,12 grams. They are stunning on; very feminine and classy!
