Tourmaline remains one of the most fascinating of all gemstones. The colours come in an extraordinary array of earthy Spring colours including greens, pinks, oranges and browns - all of them natural. Five pear-faceted tourmalines claw set in sterling silver make up a single flower. The flower is then enhanced by an outline of sparkling white round cut natural topaz gemstones in an openwork frame which follows the petal shapes. The central flower has a similarly bordered single pear faceted tourmaline dangling below it like a teardrop. Both the weight (a heavy 19,24grams), and the fact that the 5 flowers are each linked by a loop that allows movement between them, ensures the necklace sits flat and snug when worn. Both the snake chain and the floral settings are hallmarked '925' for sterling silver. The total necklace length is 47cm when stretched out; each individual flower measuring 16mm in diameter. It really is a solid but pretty piece of jewellery.
