For most of the year is has an erect inflorescences of sweetly scented pink to purple flowers with a whitish patch at the base. Canavalia rosea was traditionally used both as a potentiator for other herbs, as well as marijuana substitute, similar to the way Wild Dagga has been reportedly used in Africa.
