 One of the rarest of Spinels – a ‘Diamond Black’ specimen of great quality. The ‘Diamond Black’ Spinel is not black in colour, despite the name, it is rather a dark grey with violet overtones visible in certain lighting. The term ‘Diamond’ is used to describe the huge fire that these exceptionally rare Spinels exhibit. A wonderfully rare Spinel for the true Connoisseur of fine gemstones.

THE SPINEL

The Spinels specific gravity is 3.58-3.61. It is a natural and treatment  free stone - neither glass filling nor heat treatments. Cut by the spirits? Might be, but absolutely not burned, irradiated, glass injected or lubricated by the devils.
