Incredible vintage German made Hermle "Granddaughter" clock w/ porcelain face & original key RS17CL

This beautiful and rare vintage German made "Hermle" long-case Granddaughter clock is a gorgeous and exquisitely made long-case clock. The clock chimes on the half and hourly intervals and can be switched off if need be. The clock has just been serviced and is in complete working condition with minimal age and usage related wear and tear. The clock is in stunning condition for a vintage clock and the exquisitely carved detailing and accentuated hood add to the beautiful classic look of the clock. The porcelain dial is in great condition too. The clock measures 168cm high x 42cm long x 21cm wide. The original key is included with the clock. There is a little age related wear and tear on the weights of the clock. Please view the pics carefully to fully appreciate this remarkable Granddaughter clock and to confirm the condition.

Traditionally Grandfather clocks range in height between 1.8m and 2.4m tall, Grandmother clocks are 1.65m to 1.8m and Granddaughter clocks are 1.6m and less. As apartment and living areas became smaller and more compact, so did the size of Grandfather clocks. Granddaughter clocks originated in the 1930's and have been popular since then.
