In this the second programme of the series, it's time to move on to the larger still waters. Having mastered the basic skills of small still water flycasting, with the overhead and roll cast, we must now expand our repertoire and venture into slightly more advanced territories. Our fly-casting expert Michael Evans explains that sometimes there is the need to be able to cast just that little bit further. With the help of the single haul and then the double haul, he'll show us how to literally add yards to our cast. Hauling is also a useful technique for casting into strong head winds, which is often the type of condition experienced on the reservoirs or larger still waters, where we now find ourselves. Using illuminated night time shots, filmed on his own water in Kent, Michael demonstrates how with a little practise you too could be 'casting down to the backing'. Follow and apply Michael's clear and precise instruction and this DVD will help perfect your techniques for advanced fly-casting.
