This also allows for food to be cooked at a lower heat which in tern saves electricity. I noticed when I used the thicker base pots, I had to use level 4 and waited long for the pot to heat up but with these pots I use it on level 1 and it cooks really well. The base is considered as thick due to the fact that it is 10mm thick. These pots are light for easy and quick use. Imagine being a chef and you have to carry the weight of the pot + the ingrediance all the time. Thats why the slogon is be a chef in the kitchen because it is fast, accurate and reliable :)
