Up for auction is this handpainted pitcher from the art deco period. It was made by the Ditmar Urbach factory in Chezoslovakia which operated from 1919 -1938.The factory was confiscated by the Austrian Government in 1938 during the Anschluss(occupation and annexation of Austria into Nazi Germany) and became Ostmark-Ceramic AG thereafter.
It is yellow with a black base and outline.Decorated with a beautiful handpainted orange and black flower on the front. The decoration continues right around the pitcher with black and brown leaves.Sadly there is a hairline of about 4cm on the front surface running down from the top rim and it is also visible on the inside of the pitcher. Other than the small hairline there is no damage to report. Height = 17cm Please see photo's for description.
