What quantity of salt is used? I've just been advised that a thicker yoga mat would help my postures and balance, I'm a big lad, 95kg, 6,5ft / 196cm, are you aware of a relationship between size/weight and yoga mats? Have a recommendation? Thanks, Michael.

It is suggested to use no more than 1/2 a teaspoon of natural rock salt in semi-warm water. You can use normal table salt, but best go natural for a more smooth and comfortable nasal cleanse.
For greater balance, it is recommended to get a thinner mat or firm thick mat. Most thicker mats, such as a pilates mat are soft and tend to move and reshape easily under foot, thus making your foundation more unstable. I would suggest going for no thicker than a 5mm thick mat as they offer cushioning and firmness under foot.
Unfortunately there is no guarantee that you mat will improve your postures, but some non-slip mats do offer better traction for holding postures more easily.
With regards to the mats we sell, I would recommend our 3rd planet mats or our Jade mats (100% natural rubber). see BOB listings for details.
I hope this helps and feel free to ask any further questions.
