Q:
Hi, I saw on your website a relay touch switch. Is this a capacitive type switch? Is this a toggle or a timed switch because I am looking for a capacitive touch toggle switch. Thanks - Asked by Stefan Foot (9)

A:
I really don't know. The circuit uses the 555 timer but I think the actual timing is done by the capacitor and that means if I'm right, that this is a capacitive timed switch. Please excuse me but I'm not that clued up on circuits. Thanks

Q:
Good day Sir, I have a bit of a dilemma that I hope you can assist me with. I have a BBQ Smoker that I need to install a fan to (to keep the temperature up). I have a 12cm 220 volt fan connected to it at the moment, but I need a temperature controller that I need to fit to the fan. I usually cook at 107 degree Celcius (225 degreed Fahrenheit). I need this unit to switch on the fan when it comes to about 102 Celcius and switch off at about 108, to keep heat in range. Can you maybe assist with such a controller? Kind Regards

Hi. I will see what I can get hold of and let you know.

None of our kits or modules comes even close to that heat range. May be you should have a look into an adjustable thermostat unit used in heaters, kettles or urns. With some mods you might find a unit that will do the job. Sorry I can't help.
