 Lactuca sativa Seeds
Romaine Lettuce Parris Island This popular romaine lettuce is an heirloom variety of seed so you can grow and save seeds for next year. This is an old time favorite for its crisp ribs and sweet leaf flavor. Longstanding large cylindrical loose heads make harvesting outer leaves easy while allowing inner leaves to continue growing. It is delicious on sandwiches and in salads, especially Caesar Salad. It transplants well so seeds can be started indoors. It is also great for containers and patio pots. Prefers cool weather and thrives with partial shade. Plant in fertile, well-draining soil and keep moist. Garden spacing 30cm apart in rows 45cm apart. It takes 70 days to reach maturity.
