
The Monopsis genus consists of 16 species, all of which are indigenous to South Africa where they can be found from Namaqualand to the southern Cape, east to KwaZulu-Natal and north to Limpopo.
Monopsis debilis is a slender, erect or sprawling annual, herb up to 15cm in height. From early summer to autumn it bears masses of stunning midnight blue-purple flowers.
This neat and compact annual will happily grow in sandy peaty or clayey soils and is well suited to hanging baskets, patio containers and bedding schemes.
