Helianthus maximiliana Seeds
Common Names: Maximilian's Sunflower, Prairie Sunflower

Helianthus maximiliana or Maximilian's Sunflower as it is commonly known is named after the German Prince Maximilian who explored parts of the American West in the 1830’s. This wildflower puts on quite a show! 75mm yellow blooms are stacked all along the stalk, providing autumn color and food for the birds. It can also self-seed and naturalize! This tough perennial grows 90cm to 240cm in height, should be spaced 45cm to 60cm apart and planted full sun to light shade.
