Q:
What type of burner? Is it duplex type with snuffer? Any name on wick adjusting knobs? What basis for your date of this lamp? Is font glass or ceramic? Is base black earthenware? If so what markings on underside? Is burner in good condition - have you dismantled it to confirm amount of wear or corrosion?

Hi,

thanks for your enquiry, apologies for the delay i have been away for a couple of weeks.

It is a duplex burner, "Duplex England" is the name on adjusting knobs. Date based on 50 yrs of being in the antique buisness :-)

Font glass is ceramic and base in black earthenware, markings on the base are either a 6 or 9 depending on which way you look at it :-)and the burner is in good condition.

Kind regards,
Roger England

Hi,

Thanks for your enquiry, the lamp has a plain glass chimmney which is not shown on the picture but which is in perfect condition and will be included.

As far as i am aware paraffin would be the most suitable oil to use but you could probably use any slow buring oil.

Kind regards,
Scott
