Revell 36102 clear, mat not solid Aqua Color 18 ml

The most popular Aqua Color paints are now available in all 88 shades. It is no longer necessary for the model-builder to compromise. You can rely on this acrylic paint system for all your colour requirements.

The advantages of this painting system:

• Revell Aqua Color paints in completely new 18 ml containers
•  The paints can be diluted with water
•  The paints have a mild odour
•  The paints are not inflammable
•  The paints contain practically no organic solvents
•  88 different shades
•  The paints can be mixed together
•  The paint is totally dry after 2 to 3 hours
•  A coat can be overpainted after just one hour, 6 times faster that with Email Color enamels
•  The new paints can be overpainted on existing Email Color enamel paints (14 ml) without difficulty after the proper drying period, but cannot be mixed together.

Airbrushing

These paints are also suitable for airbrushing, but the following should be noted:

•  The paints should not be diluted too much
•  Dilute with max. 20 to 25% water
•  It is best to dilute the paints with Aqua Color Mix. This also serves as a retardant and prevents the paint from drying too quickly in the spray gun.
•  The spray gun can be cleaned with water immediately after use.
• If the paint is already dry, the spray gun can also be cleaned with "Airbrush Clean" or "Aqua Color Clean".

Brush painting

•  The paints can be applied with a paint brush due to their uniform coverage
•  With a paint brush you can get a surface almost as smooth as witt an Airbrush
•  The end result is absolutely comparable to that with "Email Color" enamel paints
•  Exceptionally good results with a paint brush

Extremely quick drying: The next coat of paint can be applied after a drying time of just one hour. The paint is fully dry after a further 2 to 3 hours. The paints provide exceptionally good results on smooth surfaces. This means that with this paint the drawback of still being able to see brush strokes on the model - a characteristic most unpopular with modellers - is reduced to a minimum. After observing the specified drying times, it is possible to apply Aqua Color paints over Email Color paints and visa versa but these paints cannot be intermixed. Up to a certain ratio Aqua Color can be simply thinned with water.

If you want the paint to dry less slower, we recommend using "Aqua Color Mix 2 in 1". This is a thinner that delays drying of the paint at the same time. it can also be used to thin the paint for airbrushing. In this way you can obtain a perfect paint finish without having to worry about the paint drying up in the spray gun. Depending on the spray gun and nozzle size used, the paint is thinned in a ratio of approximately 4 parts paint to 1 part Mix. The spray gun and any other working utensils can be simply cleaned with water, provided the paint has not already dried on. And if dried-on paint residue needs to be removed from time to time, this is taken care of by "Aqua Color Clean".
