Perfect Pink Quartz Crystal on Matrix 132-135-million-years-old Great specimen, from the Barndberg region of Namibia in the Goboboseb mountains The Quartz crystal is a soft amethyst, giving the crystal a pink colouration. The crystal has a myriad of internal vapour veils, and some red hematite inclusions. The internal vapour veils create small reflecting mirrors within the crystal The rock (matrix) from which the crystal emerges is covered with clusters of small quartz crystals and small blobs of Prenite attached to the matrix.
