Crassula ovata minima is a spectacular succulent which also goes by the name Crassula ovata minor. It is the small leaved form of the ever popular Jade plant. It has a thick trunk and branch structure with thick elliptic green succulent leaves. Given sufficient light the leaves develop red edges. It produces clusters of star-shaped white flowers in autumn. Natural leaf size is 1.75cm to 2.5cm but can be reduced to as little as 1cm with regular pruning. As a bonsai the Mini Jade Tree is suitable for informal upright and clump styles, in all sizes. Great for container culture and Bonsai cultivation. Plant it in full sun to bright shade to bring out its true colours.
