DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTIONA framed original oil painting by renowned South African artist Harold Voigt (born 1939). The painting depicts a dancing scene with a couple dancing a Spanish dance and some onlookers dressed in the clothing of the Rock n' Roll era and with ducktail hairstyles. The painting is dated 1959. It is painted on artist's board and framed in a gilded frame. This painting is of medium size and in vertical format. It measures 75 x 58 cm framed and 63 x 46 cm without the frame. The artwork is signed by the artist in the bottom right corner and dated '1959' under the signature. In the image above you can see the item up for auction. See the 4 images below for more details.
CONDITIONBoth the artwork and frame are in very good condition and the painting is ready for hanging
NOTES
A very well executed and charming artwork painted by Harold Voigt as a young man of only 20. It depicts a scene typical of the late 50s era. A nice and unusual collector's piece.
