Conophytum meyeri small headed, clump forming Conophytum with yellow flowers. These plants can form very large clusters over time, sometimes containing more then 100 heads per plant. Conophytums are winter growers and should be given a dry resting period during the summer months. Their bodies retract during this period and become covered with a papery sheath wich protects them from the harsh sun. When things cool down and rain is on the way, they spring back to life and emerge with fresh green bodies, followed soon afterwards with an abundance of flowers. On sale are two headed, young plants, as per picture above.
