Hello, for babies and toddlers the most accurate way of measuring core body temperature is orally or rectally. The forehead thermometer is accurate but not as accurate as the oral and rectal. There is a 1 - 2 deg difference in temeperature with the forehead thermometer as it is more skin temperature which is affected by room temperature than a core temperature. It is a nice device for monitoring but not for accurate core temperature.
