Fine antique Victorian to Edwardian era gilt embossed leather jewelry or desk box, unique shaping with large oval bronze figural plaque lid insert! Isn't this one great! A nicely sized piece at nearly 25.4 cm x 20.3 cm x 7 cm and the combination of the gilt embossed leather, unique teal or turquoise color AND the figural plaque leave little, if anything, to be desired :). OH, did I forget that great serpentine shaping? Too many wonderful things to address in one sentence. No maker or retailer marks that I can see but it's surely either French or Italian. Definitely one of the more visually appealing of these embossed leather boxes, don't miss it!
