Fault Finds \ Clears \ data streams …various other features. Unit-3months old. Bought Directly from the Manufacturer. Still under Warranty. Works on Toyota/ford/Merc/Volvo- various other cars.meaning.it fits into the cars obd2 16 pin female connector and links with the engine computer. I did a job on a 2003 Toyota Runx. Car did not start. Many mechanics tried for months. They replaced the starter, igniters ,fuses, fuel pump, injectors, battery …many other items. They even removed the engine head. But could not figure out what was wrong. I plugged this diagnostic unit in it. In a few seconds..It showed : “ DATA RECEIVED FROM IMMOBILZER TRANSPONDER KEY-INVALID\CORRUPT ” Told the customer to start it with his spare key. The Toyota Runx started. His key was faulty. Now you know the value of this unit. Will give customer a crash course on automotive vehicle diagnostics. How to use the diagnostic features aswell as : Engine data analysis,Troubleshooting. aswell as a work around(secret) when linking with engine computer on 2011/2012 vehicles currently on the canbus 2nd stage high speed data line system.thats if you work on current service plan cars. Ideally I would just prefer cash. Cause I am Emigrating. or you can pay me R8000 and take the unit. balance of R2000 you can pay me in a months time.i am flexible on this regard. however if customer is outside kzn.i will courier item to you and send you a 2 page diagnostic(Crash course) ...basically written out. i, the unit has 2012 software..latest pids aswell as the latest faults code database.
updates in future can be done online.free.
i am not 100% certain about a/bags faults or clearing ..as i have never encounted a issue of this nature on any vehicle i have worked on.
regarding opel cars..truth be told i never worked on opel at all..
however its links with any vehicle on the canbus data system..which is now common with all vehicles.
around 2004 onwards,all motor manufacturers moved onto the canbus diagnostic system..so you would have coverage.
and it works on older diagnostic systems..eg : PWM - pulse width modulation used by Ford cars.
k-line iso used by older toyota's..and various other.
