Please could you be so kind as to explain exactly what you would like to achieve, do you want to "extend" the range of your wifi modem, as the product you are inquiring about does not extend the range of your current modem, but it will act as an access point in a different room. You would need two devices though, 1 unit connected to your current modem and the other unit would be in the room where you want to access your modem from.

Hi, I've a TP-Link W8960N ADSL Wifi Router in my bedroom (where my phone line is), I need an Ethernet port in my living room (To network my Raspberry Pi - no wireless), Wifi signal is good in the living room.

You can use the EOP adapters to create a link between your "Rasperry Pi" and the TD-W8960N in your bedroom. Please just note that these units will not work on a 3PHASE Electricity circuit, unless the devices are used on the same phase.

Thank you for the response. I have a Linksys modem. I believe I would need to purchase another adapter with this one i.e. one to connect my modem to the electrical infrastructure and this one to serve as the remote access point. Any of our power line adapters are compatible with any brand of desktop modem as long as the modem has RJ45 (LAN) ports to which the power line adapter will be connected to.
