What are the frequencies of red light and blue light?
Both red and blue light are part of the visible spectrum, this is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to (can be detected by) the human eye. Red light has a wavelength of 620-750nm and a frequency of 400-484THz. Blue light has a wavelength of 450-495nm and a frequency of 606-668THz.
Why is red light important for plants?
The red region has a utilization peak around 660-670 nm for Chlorophyll A and around 635-645 nm for Chlorophyll B, depending on the source of information. Plants generally make good use of all red wavelengths except for ones much longer than 670 nm.
Why is blue light important for plants?
Photosynthesis works most fundamentally from red light and secondarily from blue light. However, many plants have some need for blue light for proper growth regulation and/or flowering and/or fruiting.
What can I grow?
You can grow any indoor plant with this Grow Fixture. LED grow lights are used to grow orchids, roses, peppers, tomatoes, basil, lettuce, herbs, kale, spinach, wheatgrass, broccoli, wildflowers, cucumbers, and many other fruits and vegetables. That would really depend on the size of the plants, with this panel grow light, you can use it over an area of about 30cm x 30cm from a distance of about 35cm - 40cm. To grow more at one time, you would need a much stronger bulb, but the price will also go up significantly.

1) 0.04watt draw per led - Total draw per panel = 9.38watts
2) 225 Led's in total
3) Red = 165, Blue = 60, Total = 225
4) At this price there is no cooling, and these Led's do not require cooling. Our High Power Grow lights do have internal cooling

The total wattage of the unit is 15W only, divided by the amount of LED's there are will give you a estimate of the wattage per bulb.
Total LED's: 225
Total Blue LED's: 60
Total Red LED's: 265
This grow light panel does not have a cooling / cut off system. We do sell another unit that is out of stock at the moment, for about R1100 that does include the fan.
