A Scarce Boer War Peace Medal from Acocks Green dated 1902. The reverse has the coat of arms (three pears) of the City of Worcester within which Acocks Green was located at the time. This is one of the few British peace medals commemorating the actual end of the war. Made by Wilcox of Birmingham. Reference Hern No. 504 - C.V. = R3,000. White metal. Diameter 38.5 mm. Mass 17.0 gm. In VF condition but virtually all the 'silvery' white metal finish has come off.
