Q:
Do i need to buy any additional component to use this item as automatic switch for my geyser or can i just buy and install? - Asked by Sanuth (8)

A:
It is rather suggested you use the MTD8 timer to control your geyser. It will also work out cheaper than buying the MTD2 timer and additional relay. Please see my listings for the MTD8 timer

A:
Yes, it does have a manual override switch - I'll respond to the other question about inductive load when my supplier responds.

Q:
Hi, where do these fit in the electrical system? I assume one will go into the main board...? And then if so, I have an old board, will it fit in most boards? And then also, where does the second piece fit in the system - at the geyser?... or where? Please answer the all the questions. Thanks!

So the MTD8 is an all in one unit that just takes the place of the existing switch in the DB? - Asked by clubwind (3)
01 Dec 13:31

A:
Yes, they will fit into the DB (provided you still have a slot/space available). The relay can fit next to it too in the same way. Especially for the older boards, but they have an adaptor too for the newere boards. Please rather consider the MTD8 as it has the same protection as the MTD2 with relay, and it's cheaper, and it's didigtal. I'll relist the remaining 3pcs I have left
UPDATED: 01 Dec 14:37
Yes, it is an all in one unit, but it takes up space of 2x CBs
