  • bidorbuy gift cards are issued manually by a person at bidorbuy during normal working hours. Gift cards purchased on weekends or public holidays, will be issued the following working day as soon as payment has been confirmed.

You should be able to use your credit card to purchase the gift card (We accept both Visa and Master Card) and then use the gift card balance to pay for the item you purchased on bidorbuy. Just make sure you check whether the seller accepts bobBucks as a payment option.
(Please note that our system might request you for information to be verified when paying with a credit card).

Hi. I want to buy an item being sold on BoB, but only have a company credit card, and the seller doesn't accept. Can I buy BOB Bucks and pay with these, the amoundt is R8500. Will you accept a foreign company credit card for payment, and how long will it take?

Dear Charles

Unfortunately we cannot accept payment by a foreign card for such a high amount. Due to our risk policies we are limited to the amount of gift cards issued when credit card payment is involved especially foreign company cards.

We can only issue gift cards for such large amounts when payment is made in the following ways:
- International wire transfer to our bank account (This carries a R150 bank charge)
- Internet bank transfer from a South African bank to our bank account (R0 charge)
- Cash deposit into our bank account in South Africa (R16.50 bank charge)

Please let us know should you require any other info.
