Unfortunately, once it's opened, it cannot be returned. If you want to read a lot, I would not suggest the Kindle Fire. I have both and reading on the Kindle Touch is much easier on your eyes and you can read for longer (just my opinion). Unfortunately there isn't much else I can do to help you sorry. The items are sealed.

Hi. You can load your own movies and music. You cannot download movies, music or apps from the Amazon store. You can download books from the Amazon store. You can root your Kindle Fire and then it becomes an android tablet. I don't know much about that but check this link

You can open a USA based Amazon account. If you know how to VPN you can apparently bypass the system. I don't know too much about this either.

I have a Kindle Fire - I use it for browsing the web and for reading books. But I prefer to read on my Kindle e-reader as the Fire has a backlit LCD and it makes your eyes strain more.

Hi. The Kindle Fire comes with a 1 year warranty held by Amazon in the USA. The charger is a two prone USA plug - it does not fit into SA plugs. The charger is 110-240v compatible so it does work - it just needs an adapter.
