SADF-Army/ Rhodesian Army, Pattern 61/64 Water Bottle (Canteen).
1 liter Aluminum bottle with green plastic cap & 2 piece green plastic covering, top half has a split under strap. Green plastic cup with heavy gauge aluminum wire handles. Bilingual DON'T HEAT warning around the neck. Complete with khaki web carry strap system with black metal hardware. Cap lose from strap. Some scratches in plastic & wear and dents on metal. Rust on strap buckle and rust marks marks on strap. Makers name inside the bottom of plastic drinking cup ?W1616, Blankfield Ind, RSA?, SA Defense Force M inside U molded into bottom of plastic cup. Pattern 61/64 webbing was used by the SADF and then was passed on to the Rhodesian Army when they adopted the newer Pattern70 webbing. Fair condition as per pictures.
