Long Walk to Freedom (MacDonald Purnell) signed and dated by Nelson Mandela

                                                           For sale is a rare copy of Long Walk to Freedom signed and dated by Mr Mandela. 

This is the rare MacDonald Purnell edition and was signed before the official release in South Africa at a special event in Johannesburg. Only 500 copies were signed and sold at the event which was by invitation only.

This is the true first edition, first printing and precedes all other editions such as the Little Brown USA or UK edition.

The copy and the dust jacket are in a truly fine condition and it has no shelf wear or tanning. The copy also comes with a certificate of authenticity by world renowned handwriting specialist Mr Cecil Greenfield. Mr Greenfield is considered the foremost expert in authenticating Mr Mandela's signature.

Copies like this only rarely come onto the market and currently I can only find one other copy for sale at R60 000.
