1951 SAA "Paardeberg" Kokstad Crash Cover. Envelope to Durban cancelled CAPE TOWN 14 X 51 bilingual 'SAFE DRIVING SAVES LIVES" slogan postmark. Straight line "SALVAGED CRASHED PLANE 15/10/51" cachet on front. The SAA Dakota "Paardeberg crashed into the 10500 ft peak of Mount Ingeli near Kokstad whilst on route between Port Elizabeth and Durban. All crew and passengers perished in the crash. A fine and scarce crash cover with the stamp still attached.
