Q:
Salaam Fareed
For HO Scale, would you use the large grain or fine grain, which one according to you would give a more realistic feel?

Salaams brother, hope you are well
Jazakallah for your question.i have spent the last 20 minutes surfing the web to get you an expert answer.i haven't managed to get an answer. From my personal opinion and based on the packs I sold, the large grains seem to be what modelers are choosing for there layouts. These grains are look like coal on a unit. The fine grains are more like powder and seem to blend in with n scale. Pls could you give me unti tomorrow evening to give you an accurate answer. Salaams and duas fareed

Below is the response from Daniel Erasmus.
"coal hopper can transport both fine and chunks of coal.
Fine coal was normally used in the LocoS as the Shunter had to use a shovel to get it into the furnace. Some pieces were a bit larger but was then thrown in by hand. The bigger pieces looks very realistic where you have a coaling station, you will mix both types together."
Thanks
Fareed
