F5004 - Rhodesia Horse (Privately Constructed) Cap Badge / Rank Badge?? See Description

This is a very well-made (privately constructed) badge with red felt backing and two original lugs.  After extensive searches we could not find anything about this badge - in fact there is very little information / images available on the "Rhodesia Horse" unit.  We were told by the previous owner that this is a "Rhodesian Horse Volunteer Reserve Brigade" badge and that the members wore these privately (not standard issue).  This badge could be completely a 'fantasy' badge or it could be based on something similar, which would then be a scarce item.  If this is the case, this badge can then be used as a filler.

We enlisted the advice of a veteran collector in the field of Rhodesian Insignia and memorabilia who stated that it appears to be a standard British laurel wreath badge on which the lion and tusk has been place an then the "RH" probably from the British title RHA.
