Q:
Hi there, I want to buy the 1.6, 1.2 and 1.1 from you. I roughly worked on a loss of 25% on weight to repair the stones to the RB cut of today. I can make an offer of R55 000-00 for the stones if you agree to sell. Thanks in advance - Asked by sementendirk (122 Rating score between 100 and 499Verified User

What does 'old cut' mean? - Asked by elise1953 (no ratings)

A:
Old cut means that the diamond is not a brilliant cut which is what cut all diamonds are cut today. It also give and indication to the age of the stone as these types of cut was very popular up to the end of the last century, where the stone was cut for maximum carat weight and not forced into a "cut" as today. Each Diamond was unique and not cut in a cookie cutter mould as the Brilliant cuts of today. Also refered to a Rose Cut.
