Q:
I have a long driveway and need to view the area from my front door to the street along this driveway BEFORE I turn into the driveway.

I would like to view over my phone (smart phone with Internet / wireless access)

Can this camera do what I want and how would it have to be set up?

Thanks. - Asked by eidoB (49 Rating score between 10 and 49)

A:
hi yes the camera can connect wirelessly or wired, the distance, you can use software to digital zoom, and you have a manual focus on the camera lens. im too sure on the length of you driveway, this is something you would have to check. Its is an IP cam so you can most definately set it up for remote access.

We are 90 km from PE in the Easter Cape, I don't know if you have similar camera's that could work for us? We would definatily want to watch them over the internet. - Asked by AudreyMoolman86 (1)

you can have cameras anywhere you would like, no matter how far you are away from the camera. you would just be required to have internet access where the camera is situated as well as where you are trying to connect to it from.

Yes we are on a farm and breed horses we would like to use it to check on our mares when they are due to foal. but our house is quite some distance from our stables. 1000 m plus. Don't know the exact distance will have to check.
UPDATED: 19 Oct 09:49
Hi We measured the distance on google earth and it is 650 - 700m from our house.
We do not have internet at the stables at present but can inquire about it, or what else would you suggest? Regards Audrey
UPDATED: 19 Oct 16:07
Sorry for all these questions! We have contacted our internet provider and they are going to come and give us a quote on getting the camera's to work :) We worked out that it is between 650 and 700 m between the stable and house... - Asked by AudreyMoolman86 (1)

Hi, when u say further range are u talking about wireless coverage?
UPDATED: 19 Oct 08:52
1000m is a difficult one. you would need either a network cable connected to the camera or wireless tower put up which could be very costly. i will look at what would be a cheaper option that will do the job for you..
