German Intern "1 Pennie" Token Used in S.A. and Southern Rhodesia from 1940 - A very Scarce and Rare Piece.

These "Een Pennie" tokens, manufactured out of a Celleloid/fibre type of material were for for use by the German Interns in the Union of South Africa and Southern Rhodesia during the Second World War.

This is an extremely rare piece that is essential for serious token and militaria collectors to have in their collection.

We know that there was a German internment camp in Salisbury.

A coin and token expert, who died very recently, identified this token and informed us that it was definitely used in Southern Rhodesia.
