Original Invoice from 1935 from Zeiss subagent in Cape Town. It cost 52 Pounds, in 1935.
This is a very rare camera that was introduced to compete with the Leica in the new 35mm market. Unfortunately they were notoriously unreliable and it is rare to find one that still works and that hasn't had some kind of revision at the factory. This camera is being sold as is, the shutter fires, the rangefinder focuses but due to these early Contax's reputations for not working for very long, I am not going to run a film through it. The lens has minor fungus which should be easily cleanable.
Any questions please ask.
