A solid Sterling Silver Chess set weighing 8.194 kilos with vintage chess board
This is a unique chess set, cast in solid Sterling Silver and with one side gold plated. Offered together with a World War 2 chess board made by Italian P.O.W.'s in Nairobi in various indigenous woods from Kenya.
The set was cast and finished in our own jewellery shop in Harare, Zimbabwe during the early 1970's with the design taken from a typical chess set carved by a Shona artist.
Weighing a whopping 8kilo 194grams, the pawns stand 5.20 cm high with the king standing at 12.2 cm high.
