| DESCRIPTION | This is a beautiful little bone china dish produced by MINTON to commemorate te Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on 2 June 1953. The design on the little dish is done completely in 22 ct gold overlay and consists of the emblem of QE II in the centre surrounded by the wording 'To Commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second. June 2nd 1953'. The miniature dish measures 11 cm in diameter and it has the Minton markings underneath as well as the signature of John Wadsworth who designed the item. The emblem of Queen Elizabeth II appears in the centre of the little dish in 22 carat gold overlay.
There is gold overlay on the rim of the little dish and the wording 'To Commemorate the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth the Second. June 2nd 1953' appears all along the border.
The MINTON markings and the signature of John Wadsworth, who designed the dish, are underneath.
Shown with a matchbox to give an indication of relative size. The small commemorative dish is 11 cm in diameter.
