If you are passionate about stamps……

If you know that there is more to collecting stamps than simply duplicating the catalogue……

1901 ANGLO BOER WAR cover with 2 x PASSED BY CENSOR cachets  OPENEND UNDER MARTIAL LAW sticker.  Cape to Transvaal.  Of special note is the Cape Town Army Post Office date stamp on the reverse (22 October 1901).  Superb condition.

Some trivial information:  This covered was censored TWICE!  There was a war going on!  Yet it travelled 1400 km in a couple of days (via train, not aeroplane).  Would our beloved post office be able to do the same now (110 years later)?

FREE POSTAGE WITH TRACKING NUMBER.

In addition to my normal 10 day Money Back Guarantee I am proud to now offer the following:

Should the buyer of this lot have doubts about the genuineness of this lot, I will (if notified within the normal 10 day period) extend my normal 10 day guarantee up to a reasonable time so that a P.F.S.A. Certificate could be obtained.  Should a P.F.S.A. Certificate differ from my opinion, I will refund the buyer’s money (on receipt of the lot in its original condition as well as the certificate), including postage both ways, plus the cost of the certificate.  Deal in confidence!
