R285.00

The Hewlett Packard HP E-PC C10 computer. ( No cdsrom,Hdd, Power Adapter)
On the left, you see a picture of the HP E-PC as you might have seen one in an office environment: i.e. with the lid still on.
Below is a picture of the very feature rich backside of the HP E-PC. From left to right we see:
  • Power supply input (19 Volts DC, 3 A)
  • Ethernetcard, 10/100 Mb/s, RJ45
  • VGA connector
  • Parallel (LPT) port connector (on top)
  • Serial (COM) port connector
  • Keyboard (PS/2)
  • Mouse (PS/2)
  • USB ports (two)
  • Microphone, Line In, Line Out
The black knob in the right is the lock to lock up the case. It even prevents people from inserting or removing a USB Device , a Great security feature. The Key comes with the system .

Taking off the lid that shields the 20 Gigabyte Harddisk is easy:

To change the Hard Drive
  1. Make sure the lock is disengaged
  2. With your thumbs, press against the rim on the back of lid
  3. Slide it off around 10 millimeters
If you do so, the situation will look like the one in the picture on the left.
What you see now, is the harddisk unit in a special retainer. Just lift the handle and remove the connectors in this order:
  1. Clear plastic power connector
  2. Black control cable

Only pull on the tab, never apply force to the cable. This kind of cable is very delicate.
When the drive is out, we get to the situation on the right. Looks empty, don't it?

On the backside panel are two screws, near the edges of the panel. Remove these two screws with a suitable driver.

When the screws are removed, slide the case back. You end up with the situation below.
You just opened the case of your HP E-PC!

Now fiddle and tilt with the case, mainly applying gentle upward forces, until the case is off the chassis. You will end up with a situation like below.
This is what is inside the case of the Hewlett Packard E-PC C10. On the right, you see the drive bay for the harddisk. On the left is a big (standard 80 x 25 mm) fan which is on top of the cooler for the CPU.
Do not remove the CPU fan assembly.

To Change RAM Strip......

Below the CD-ROM railmount is a piece of perforated sheetmetal. You need to remove this to gain access to the DRAM module.

you'll see the 'HP E-PC' SDRAM DIMM module. It's a standard 168 pin DIMM, loaded with 128MB of PC133 memory.

it is working, actualy it is real good, I have 40 of them from the bank, hdd removed for data security, nocdrom cause they use multicast to load, the cpu 733 to 933 mhz,128 ram , it is still displaying, as for loading os, i take the hdd and load win 98 first and then save xp install files into the hdd, put it in epc, run winxp upgrade , the other software i load via external usb cdrom, quite a nice macine, considering space
