 How it Works

The PowerSaver helps to stabilise voltages and reduce currents in your power supplies. It enhances the power efficiency of electrical appliances, avoiding wastage of the electricity supplies and helping to extend the life-span of your electrical  appliances. This is accomplished by supplying electricity at the requisite load by the use of a specially designed capacitor. These advanced capacitors store the additional electricity needed for stabilising electric current within an inductive load. Therefore, the amount of electricity purchased from your utility company has been reduced and resulting in power savings for your home or office.

Please note: for a 3 phase electricity supply, 3 units are required.

Q
What is difference between Saving Saint and Power Saver? - Asked by humanoid (34 Rating score between 10 and 49)
18 May 20:45

A
The Powersaver is rated 15kW, which translates to 68 Amperes, which is what normal houeholds are rated at. The Saving Saint is rated 28kW. We normally suggest the Saving Saint for small single phase businesses where the electricity bills are signigicantly higher. For a normal household, we suggest the Powersaver.

Q
How can this work if my fridge uses 1000 w of power how is it possible to make it use less. If a bulb is 60 w it cannot use less unless it is dimmer. Wont it damage my appliances. If a Kettle uses 1000 w how can it use less.? - Asked by peterakie (3)
12 Apr 22:08

A
As appliances swithes on and off in your house the voltage fluctuates. When the voltage fluctuates, the Amperes (which you are paying for) fluctuates. Refer to the formula V=IR. Resistance (R) is constant so the Volts and Amps need to balance. The Powersaver regulates the voltage (within 10 second periods) by releasing stored energy which results in an overall reduction in Amps used.

A powerfactor of .95 is already high - which means that your saving will not be as high. Have you measured your powerfactor?

We have dealerships nationally. If you are in e.g. Cape Town we will be delivering from Cape Town. The shipping costs are included in the price of the unit, i.e. there is no additional shipping cost.
