Daiwa GrandWave X Model GW-X50SHVK reel. To help you reach those far-out sand banks the casting power of Diawas Super Speed Shaft was introduced. Together with massive drags, massive gears, monster line capacities and super fast retrieves, Daiwa have produced the ultimate surf casting reels for our coastal anglers. Super Speed ShaftTM - Totally disengages the spool from the gear train when casting. Pinion gear rides separately on its own shaft rather than riding on spool shaft as with other reels. So theres less friction for longer, easier casts. Sealed X-Treme Performance Drag - Huge, Teflon impregnated felt and stainless washers mean smooth stopping power for fast, open-water species. Sealed to keep saltwater out. Gear ratio 6.1:1, Ball bearings 4, Weight 564g, Capacity .43mm/600m, .47mm/550m, .52mm/500m.
