My bidorbuy - Seller View

The 'My bidorbuy' section helps you manage your selling and buying activity on bidorbuy. To login to the 'My bidorbuy' section, use the same bidorbuy 'User ID' and 'Password' you created when you first registered yourself on bidorbuy. Just click on the 'My bidorbuy' link at the top of the site to login. Once logged in, you need to choose either a 'Buyer View' or a 'Seller View'. This page explains the 'Seller View' of 'My bidorbuy'.

1. Update Your Account

    Update your 'Profile', 'Password' and 'E-mail Address':
    Use these links to update your bidorbuy Profile and Password and Email Address. Note you will need to reactivate your account after changing your email address by clicking on the activation link that will be mailed to you at your new email address.

    View your 'bidorbuy User ID' and 'Ratings':
    The 'bidorbuy User ID' and 'Ratings' links will take you to your 'bidorbuy Profile' that will have your details as a buyer.

2. 'Account Alert'

    You will find the 'Account Alert' link at the top of your 'My Seller View' and 'My Buyer View'. It alerts you about the pending buyer complaints you may have against your name.

3. Seller Status

    As Seen on Item Page:
    As seen on the 'Item' page The ratings displayed on the site against your 'bidorbuy User ID' are the ratings for the last 30 days, with a holding period of 10 days. These ratings are used to calculate the 'Percentage of Positive Ratings as a Seller', which determines your 'Seller Status' on bidorbuy.

4. Sell Your Items

    'Auctions':
    Click on this link if you wish to sell your item using 'Auctions'. You will be led to the 'Sell' form for 'Auctions' listings.

    'Buy Now':
    Click on this link if you wish to sell your item using 'Buy Now'. You will be led to the 'Sell' form for 'Buy Now' listings.

    'Classifieds':
    Click on this link if you wish to sell your item using 'Classifieds'. You will be led to the 'Sell' form for 'Classifieds'.

    'Bulk Load':
    Bulk Sellers can upload their items in bulk using the 'Bulk Upload' or the CSV spreadsheet. To upload your CSV sheet, click on 'Items'. To upload your item images, click on 'Images'.

    Set up 'Prompts':
    'Prompts' help you to let buyers know about any additional information about your items and also to collect additional information from the buyers. Click on this link to create Prompts for your items.

    Set up 'Payment Options':
    Payment options help you specifying payment methods for all the items you sell. Buyers will pay you by the payment methods that you specify here. Click on this link to create your payment options.

    Set up 'Shipping Preferences':
    You can set up 'Shipping Charge' options to specify different charges for different items.

    'Fee Account':
    When you click on this link, you will be taken to your 'Fee Account Summary' page, which will have your bidorbuy account number, bidorbuy user ID, and the fee balance. You can see your account details of the current month, within a date range and by Item number. You can also view invoices for the previous months.

    'Fee Payment':
    When you click on this link, you will be led to the 'Fee Payment' page. If you wish to pay your fees through your credit card, or make an online bank transfer, click on the 'Make an Online Payment' link. If you wish to make an offline payment, click the 'Make an Offline Payment' link.

5. Reports: Track Listed items (Manage Inventory)

    The 'Manage Inventory' section helps you manage all the listings that you have created. Select the 'Date Range' for the listings you want to see. Choose the status of your items based on the explanations given below:

    'Loaded':
    Listings that have you have created but have not gone live on the site yet.

    'Open': Listings that are live on the site.

    'Closed':
    Listings that have closed on the site.

    'Deleted':
    Listings that you have deleted.

    'Unsold':
    Listings of items that did not sell on the site.

    Click on the 'Get HTML Report' button to view a list of your inventory. To download the report on your computer, click on 'Downloadable Report'. You can view this report even when you are not connected to the Internet, and you can also load it as a normal spreadsheet in 'Microsoft Excel'.

    On the page that appears, you will see a list of orders depending on the status you have selected: the 'Item Number', 'Item Title', 'Listing Type', 'Start Price', or the 'Item Price', the 'Reserve Price', 'Next Bid', the 'Number of Bids/Purchases/Visits', the 'Winning Quantity', the 'End Date' and the number of 'Times Left To Re-List'.

    In 'Actions', you can 'Edit', 'Re-List' or 'Delete' the listing, and make the listing a 'Priority', a 'Highlighted' or a 'Homepage Listing'.

6. Reports: Track Orders Received ('Manage Orders')

    The 'Manage Orders' section helps you manage all the orders that you have received. Select the 'Date Range' for the orders you want to see. Choose the status of your items in 'Show Only with', depending on the explanations given below:

    'Send Shipping Details': If you select this option, you will view all the orders for which you have not sent details regarding the shipping of your items.

    'Send Payment Details': You will view all the orders for which you need to send details of the payment of your items.

    'Send SNC Warnings': You will view all the orders which you have not filed 'Sale Not Completed' warnings.

    'Send SNC Warning Removals': You will view all the orders for which you have filed 'Sale Not Completed' warnings.

    'Ratings': If you select 'Pending Ratings', you will get a list of all orders which you have not yet rated.

    'Payment Method': You can choose orders with the 'Payment Methods' listed below. When you make your selection, you will see orders with that 'Payment Method' only.

    • bobPay - Credit Card (MasterCard / VISA)
    • bobPay
    • Online Bank Transfer
    • Cheque/ATM Drop Box/DD
    • Pickup and Pay in Person
    • COD

    Click on the 'Get HTML Report' button to view a list of the 'Orders Received'. To download the report on your computer, click on 'Downloadable Report'. You can view this report even when you are not connected to the Internet; you can also load it as a normal spreadsheet on 'Microsoft Excel'.

7. Activity Pending (Alerts)

    This section is extremely important as it highlights all other sections that demand your immediate attention.

    'Complaints Pending':
    Click on this link for a list of items for which you have any unresolved buyer complaints.

    'Payment Details Pending':
    Click on this link for a list of items for which you have to send payment details.

    'Ratings Pending':
    Click on this link for a list of all orders for which you have not yet given any ratings.

    'Questions Unanswered':
    Click on this link for a list of orders for which you have not answered buyers' questions.

    'Shipment Details Pending':
    Click on this link for a list of items for which you need to send buyers the shipment details.

    'SNC Warnings Pending':
    Click on this link for a list of items for which you have not filed 'SNC' warnings.

    'Give Personal Offers':
    Click on this link for a list of auctions for which you can personally offer the runner-up bidders the remaining items not sold.

    'Invoice Amount Due':
    This is fee amount that you have to pay bidorbuy.

8. 'Sales Summary' and 'Listing Summary'

    'Sales Summary':
    Get a list of items that you have sold 'Today', in the 'Last 7 Days' and in the 'Last 30 Days'. You can also get all the responses you have received for your classified listing by clicking on the 'All Classified Responses' link.

    'Listing Summary':
    Get a list of all orders that are 'Closing today', 'Loaded', and/or 'Open'.

    Note: You can click the numbers displayed to get a separate list of 'Auction', 'Buy Now' or 'Classified' listings.

9. 'Seller Update'

    This section provides data and information that will help you to plan your sales more effectively: find out what our buyers are looking for; what the top selling items in your category are, and the benefits of using our Special Listings.

    The 'Seller Update' section will also keep you informed about all the new features that are regularly introduced for the benefit of our users. Checking this section regularly will keep you up-to-date on all the latest happenings at bidorbuy.
