(24 November 2014) Black Friday and Cyber Monday are becoming a regular feature on South Africa’s online marketplace www.bobshop.co.za, says Bob Shop Product Manager Johan du Toit.

Last year, the two events created a lot of excitement in the Bob Shop online community of buyers and sellers, and the expectations for this festive season are even greater, because the two will be merged into one big, impressive, two week long online sale. 

“On Bob Shop, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are geared towards helping buyers get hold of quality products at lower prices. At the same time, we aim to enable sellers to boost their sales in the pre-Christmas period”, says du Toit.

“Our sellers are eager to offer their latest and their best merchandise at substantial discounts, and we have no doubt that buyers will make use of this opportunity to secure real deals”, he says, and adds: “That is why Bob Shop decided to devote one whole week to Black Friday sales, plus one whole week to Cyber Monday sales”.

In the quest to bring the best products at the lowest possible prices, nothing is left to chance. A dedicated Bob Shop team has contacted scores of sellers in order to arrange with them to list their most coveted goods at big discounts.

The Bob Shop Black Friday Deals start on 24th November and will change over to Cyber MondayDeals from the 1st to the 7th of December.

“We have digital devices, home appliances, fashion items, toys, and many more brand-new, top-quality products, at discounts that even go over 60%”, says du Toit and adds: “We plan to upload new listings each and every day for two weeks. The Black Friday sales opened on Bob Shop on 24 November with, among other items, a kids’ game bundle slashed from R180 to R99, a desktop fish aquarium discounted from R380 to R290, a cookware set discounted by R500, a Guess necklace discounted by R300, and so on. Over the next two weeks, more hot deals will become available including Guess handbags, Joseph Joseph utensil gift sets, braai sets and various other electronics, home, toys and fashion specials.

To buy on Bob Shop, buyers need to be 18 years or older and to register as users on the site, which is a procedure that takes only a few minutes.
