With the lengthy legal battle over the production of the now infamous "Black Labour" T-shirt behind us, Laugh It Off has much to celebrate. On the 27 May 2005, the company won a three year struggle against brewery giant, SABMiller, over its tongue-in-cheek T-shirt message associated with Carling Black Label.

In light of this landmark victory, Laugh It Off together with bobshop, South Africa's largest online marketplace, will be auctioning off 100 limited edition "Black Labour Constitutional Court Victory" T-shirts on the bobshop Web site: www.bobshop.co.za. The T-shirts feature the Black Labour logo on the front and a special Scales of Justice logo with the text: "Laugh It off Constitutional Victory 2005" on the back.

The auction is charity based, with all the proceeds from the 100 T-shirt's going to the Janet Smith Foundation, which cares for individuals coping with the disease of addiction.

Bidding on the T-shirts started at R150 has.

The lucky auction winners will also get a funky Laugh It Off Chronicles 2005 Calendar, featuring photographs by Obie Oberholzer, which includes 12 of Laugh It Off's best-ever "brand jams." The calendar is also jam-packed with quirky facts from South Africa's past and other tidbits from global history, as well as starring well-known South African figures such as Pieter-Dirk Uys, Patricia de Lille and Marc Lottering.

Andy Higgins, Managing Director of bobshop says: "We are glad to be a part of this exciting project as it not only celebrates an important court ruling on the freedom of speech, but through the proceeds of this auction we are able to make a significant contribution to the community."
