DJ Fresh’s music and mike skills were nearly lost to the world of broadcasting - after school he studied two years of law before jumping ship to journalism. Now Fresh has thirteen house albums under his belt and has shared the DJ booth with a number of international artists.
Fresh is a father, husband, entrepreneur, and has tremendous heart. Apart from his company Big Dawg Productions, he’s established the DJ Fresh Annual Scholarship Programme, which awards tertiary scholarships to deserving students who cannot otherwise afford it. His programme works with Rosebank College, Monash University, and Boston Media House. Although there are no strings attached DJ Fresh encourages the students, once they start work, to sponsor one deserving youth each as their contribution to nation building.
