Late Victor Visser from The Strand (Western Cape) where he lived till the early 80's with his wife and four daughters, was a well-known full-time artist in the Cape Province who mainly painted landscapes, and specialized in mountain- and country scenes of the Western Cape, his daughter Elza followed in his footsteps by later becoming a artist herself when she and her husband retired and moved to Swellendam in 1999 where she received art schooling from Wendy Martel.
Victor's artworks can be found in collections all over South Africa and even though he kept his life very private his artworks are recognized & sought after by collectors all around the country.
Victor is known for schooling some of South Africa's best oil on canvas artists including but not limited to Michael Albertyn who has enjoyed tremendous success throughout his career as an artist, and lately as an international acclaimed artist.
Inscribed at the back is a note made by the artist but i am unfortunately unable to read it.
